Tax Help The Tax Help program operates at CIGE from mid-July until the end of October. Volunteers who are trained and accredited by the Australian Tax Office are available to assist you with your tax return, or even do it for you if you wish - providing that you are eligible according to rules set out by the Tax Office (see below). Tax returns at CIGE are mainly done electronically (including submission), as the Tax Office prefers this. Previous years’ returns can also be done, although they cannot be submitted electronically. Tax Help Eligibility You are eligible for Tax Help if your total income is around $50,000 or less for the income year and your tax affairs are fairly simple.
